Providing Technology-Forward Online Training for Today’s Smart Cars

On the Road Garage, in partnership with the Texas Workforce Commission, invites you to apply for a new online training course that offers a Certification in Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) Technology.

You are eligible for this technology training if you:

  • Unemployed, furloughed or you have low to moderate income
  • 18 years or older
  • Have a valid email address, an internet connection, and a smart device, such as a phone, tablet or computer

This self-paced online course will give you skills for the electrical and mechanical repair of automobiles including:

  • Digital diagnostics and the electrical testing of ADAS
  • Pre and post scans of vehicles and use of scan tools
  • ADAS calibrations including lane guidance cameras, lane change assist cameras, and obstacle detection
  • Tire pressure monitoring
  • Steering and suspension geometry

You’ll be prepared for work at collision repair centers and dealerships and ready to repair smart cars at a higher level than other technicians in the field. Your local Workforce Solutions Board will provide access to this course at no cost after approving your eligibility.
